Negative taken of ten people who were baptized by Rev. Winfrid Stauble and other children and adults in attendance at Saint John Baptist Friary, Lake Village, Chicot County, Arkansas on August 15, 1953. Saint John the Baptist Church was founded Bishop John B. Morris for primarily African Americans in Lake Village in 1945. The pastor of the church was Franciscan Father Angelus Schaefer, O.F.M. The Franciscans gave up the parish at St. John the Baptist in Lake Village by 1965.
